Soru 1

Dear Eve,

Thanks so much for your last letter. I’m sorry I didn’t sooner, but I’ve been terribly busy over the past few months and I just haven’t had time.

Things are going very well here. I still can’t believe that I’m actually living and working in Paris. I’m so glad I made the decision to leave England and go abroad. It’s been a really exciting experience so far, and I think I would have been a fool to miss out on the opportunity. After all, I’ve gone from a part-time job in a local library to a good position in the Paris branch of a large merchant bank, and from living in a small town to living in a big city. It’s exactly what I’ve always wanted. Of course, I know I shouldn’t be too optimistic. I understand that not everything is going to be perfect, let alone easy, but I feel that my  confidence  has increased during my time here and I feel sure that I can deal with the problems life throws at me. I’ve met quite a few people at the bank, and most of them are  helpful  and friendly. This is good because I’d hate having to work in an unfriendly environment, where people are constantly competing with one another. I’m also gradually learning more about French culture. It’s very different to what I was used to in England, but I like the more relaxed, sociable lifestyle here.

Well, that’s all my news for now. Write soon and let me know how things are back home.
